 Bass boats are simply just that:  boats people use to fish for bass.  While, not necessarily the only type of fishing these boats are used for, it is why they were designed. You can spend upwards of $30,000 if you so desire  The most popular size in the aluminum class is a 17ft with a 50hp outboard motor.  You would spend about $10,000 for a package of this type.  Fiberglass bass boats are more complex and usually more flashy.  The fiberglass bass boats require more power and can be designed with higher performance in mind. Fiberglass bass boats tend to handle rougher water conditions, and combined with the performance and custom aspects, are the preferred choice of serious boater.  Fiberglass packages start just over $10000 and can climb to as high as $75000. The average fiberglass bass boat package is typically around $18,000.
